She is professor of Practice at Arizona State University’s Master Program in Politics & Global Security, at the Center for The Future of War, and is a member of the Brain Trust of The Weaponized Narrative Initiative.

She is a columnist for Homeland Security Today, and Author of seven books, including Internarrative Identity: Placing the Self,  Counter-Terrorism: Narrative Strategies, Narrative Warfare, and Plato's Fear. She is the Editor of Dangerous Narratives: Warfare Strategy Statecraft, and Co-Editor of Soft Power on Hard Problems: Strategic Influence in Irregular Warfare.
